Acupressure for Pregnancy, Birth and Postpartum
Acupressure can help relax the mind and body, increase blood circulation and improve energy levels. During pregnancy, treating the correct acupressure points is a safe and drug-free way to relieve some pregnancy ailments such as nausea, digestive issues, insomnia, itching and headaches.
Acupressure points can help women prepare for labour, influence hormonal responses and can be used as pain management during labour. In postpartum acupressure points will assist with after pains, general recovery and to help with establishing breast feeding.
Midwives, doulas, nurses and partners of pregnant women can all learn acupressure techniques which will help with pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
In this workshop:
- Background of TCM and acupressure
- Acupressure points for pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum to enhance health
- Increase birth efficiency and postpartum recovery
