BiA Doula Training Course Dates, Fees and Registration

The full course fee (the combined fee of the Foundation and the Advanced Training) covers the following:

• Foundation Training, 30 contact hours (4 days) including coffee, tea, water, fruit, snacks
• Advanced Training, 22,5 contact hours (3 days) including coffee, tea, water, fruit, snacks
• Training is in small groups, with two trainers, this allows for deep, varied and fast learning
• Printed, comprehensive +300 pages training manual – (value of €30,-)
• Three hours of one-to-one mentoring with your assigned mentor
• Online and offline group mentoring:
  • via online platform (Facebook)
  • 6-weekly Reflect & Recharge (intervision) meetings (low fee to cover direct costs)
• Twice yearly social gathering, a place to relax and get to know other students and certified (BiA) doulas
• Portfolio assessment
• Certification: in a personal meeting with the assigned mentor and one of the trainers, we do a final reflection together and the doula receives her BiA Doula Certificate
• Certification is valid indefinitely (as long as the doula adheres to the BiA code of conduct & scope of practice); we do recommend doulas to become members of the Dutch Professional Doula Association (NBvD), which has its own professional quality policy
• Free listing on the website, both for students and graduates
• Personalised badge (to use also for your internships)
• Considerable discount for year membership of the Vraag de Vroedvrouw website

The approximate cost of the required reading list for the Foundation Training is €80,- for the Advanced Training €90,- and that of the recommended list is an additional €75,-.

It is possible to pay in two tiers for either training, with an admin fee of €30,- for either training. We also offer the possibility to book and pay both trainings at the same time, with a considerable discount, and also with the possibility to pay in two tiers.

The in-person trainings are offered 3 times a year: the Foundation Training in January (in Dutch) and in May/June and September/October (in English) the Advanced Training in January/February & June (in English) and September/October (in Dutch)
