Description
Weaving wellness – Working with seen and unseen scars post birth
Often post birth problems of pelvic pain and discomfort are kept silent. You are not alone and you don’t need to suffer. We conceived this workshop to help postpartum mamas heal and reconnect with their bodies no matter how long ago the birth happened.
This 1 day workshop is for care providers and people who have given birth. You will learn gentle, simple and effective tools to support integrated, well nourished postpartum recovery anytime after birth.
This gentle workshop for experienced practitioners will offer simple solutions to:
- ongoing pain from c-section and vaginal tears
- prolapse
- incontinence
- painful love making
- feeling numb and disconnected from your body
You will be guided through gentle movement and mindfulness practices, and get practical skills and tools to work with scar tissue remediation: vaginal and c-section. You will explore the embodied meaning of consent with your own body and your partner for resuming lovemaking post-birth.
You will leave the workshop feeling more connected with yourself, your body and other women going through similar experiences, and equipped with tools to complete your physical, mental and spiritual healing.
The workshop will be an opportunity to explore consent and touch with consent.
No internal pelvic touch will be explored, however the benefits and practice of internal touch will be discussed.
Any touch that occurs within the workshop will be an invitation only and participants will be encouraged and celebrated in recognising, accessing and communicating their own limits.
This workshop is for anyone who has ever given birth, it may have been recently or many years down the track.
